The task was to design and manufacture a piece of seating furniture from square timber (beech, 25 x 25 mm).
All joints are either mortise-and-tenon or mortise-and-tenon. The project was supervised by the Finnish designers Yrjö Wiherheimo and Ilkka Suppanen, as well as the workshop manager Avo Tragel.
This piece of seating furniture consists of a stable wooden frame with a leather-like fabric with straps stretched around it. This construction makes it possible to smooth out the seat after prolonged use. In addition, the chair can be easily dismantled into its individual parts at the end of its useful life or when it needs to be rearranged.
